A two-day National Level Technical Symposium – “Civil Carnival 2008” was conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering on February 26th and 27th of 2008. Technical paper presentation, Poster presentation, Technical quiz, CAD contest, Modeling contest and Treasure hunt were the events conducted during the symposium. Forty two technical papers were presented. In all, 120 students from various places spreading all over India were participated in various events. Cash prizes were distributed to students securing first two places in each event.

A two-day National Level Students Meet – “Civil Carnival 2007” was conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering on 14th and 15th , February, 2007. The objective of the programme was to promote interaction between students of different parts of the nation, technical knowledge sharing, improving communication skills and presentation skills among students and personality development of the students. Technical paper presentation, Group discussion and Technical quiz were conducted. Fifty technical papers were presented. One hundred and fifty students from various places all over India participated in various events. Cash prizes were distributed to students securing first two places in each event.
