The Department has been recognized as State Resource Institute in Earthquake Risk Management (ERM) by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Department offers training for technical personal deputed by State Government. The Department received grants and books in this regard. Staff members enhance their skills by attending summer schools/winter schools, refresher courses, induction programmes regularly. The department also conducts workshops for field Engineers on the latest development in Civil Engineering.
