INDIAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE (ICI) STUDENTS CHAPTER:
On 26-03-2018, the Indian Concrete Institute assigned a Organization Life Membership No: 12215 and attached the institute to ICI Vizag chapter. Sri.M.L.N.Krishna Sai, Asst. Professor and N.Venkata Sairam Kumar, Asst. Professor are acting as institution coordinators for ICI students chapter of institution. Till date 33 students submitted their details along with membership fee and joined the Indian Concrete Institute Students Chapter.
Events organized under ICI Students Chapter:- A one day National Seminar on "Sustainable Materials and Techniques in Concrete Structures"(SMTCS 2019), being organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, in association with Indian Concrete Institute Students Chapter and Indian Geotechnical Society, Guntur Chapter on 23rd February ,2019.
- A webinar lecture on "Quality Assurance in Reinforcement Steel and Concrete" was organised for students, faculty and practicing engineers, held on 10th July, 2020 by the Department of Civil Engineering, in association with ICI student chapter. The resource person is Er.D.V.Bhavanna Rao, Former Chief Engineer, Roads and Building Department, Andhra Pradesh.
- A webinar lecture on "Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures-Basic Concepts" was organised for students, faculty and practicing engineers, held on 16th July, 2020 by the Department of Civil Engineering, in association with ICI student chapter. The resource person is Dr.Kalyana Rama J.S, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Vignana Bharati Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
