Strength of Materials
The Mechanics of Materials Laboratory is used for demonstrating phenomena related to stress, strain, buckling, and fatigue. The student workstations are complete with equipments like UTM, Torsion testing Machine, Hardness testing machines and many other testing equipment for the hands on practice. The lab provides static tension-compression testing, for traditional wear testing, material classification and characterization which is connected to a data acquisition system. Various consultancy services are provided in the lab by testing different material for many government and private organizations.
